Working Genius Handouts

Working Genius + Leading

As you lead, have you ever had these thoughts?

  • Why is this so hard?

  • I should be able to do this.

  • They’re doing it wrong.

If so, it might be time to dive into Working Genius. This framework helps you shift from frustration to clarity:

  • “Why is this so hard?” → “Who could help here?”

  • “I should be able to do this” → “This might be in my frustration zone and take extra energy—and that’s okay.”

  • “They’re doing it wrong” → “They’re using their genius, not mine—and both serve TFI.”

Our greatest impact comes when we work in our genius and let others work in theirs. It’s not about being good at everything—it’s about placing ourselves wisely and inviting others in.
